Karen Phillips

Karen Phillips is the firm's Managing Partner, having succeeded David Sprake in the role in October 2022.

Karen specialises in advising clients on divorce and separation and the financial aspects of relationship breakdown.  She is committed to the resolution of family disputes in a non-confrontational and constructive way to encourage agreement and preserve the dignity of clients.

Karen also works with Frances Davy on inheritance and related disputes and is the firm's employment specialist and holds a postgraduate Certificate in Employment Law.

Karen is a trained Collaborative Lawyer and is a member of Resolution.  As Managing Partner Karen is the firm's lead on regulatory matters.  Karen qualified as a solicitor in 1990 whilst working for a firm based in Norwich before joining Sprake & Kingsley in 1995.
